The tournament, brilliantly hosted by Canterbury RFC, featured a group stage followed by finals groups to determine cup, plate, shield and vase winners. In their first three games, 7Wells beat Bromley Spitfires, BASS (Beckenham and Sidcup) and Medway - the last game a particularly hard fought encounter - to top the group.

7Wells then faced Ashford and Westcombe Park who both emerged from their respective groups unbeaten. The competition stepped up and all the girls put on a great show of physical, attacking rugby. 7Wells managed to win both games to take the cup home.

Thanks have to go to all the Canterbury volunteers who marshalled and refereed the games, as well as Bex, who organised the whole venue, and Malcolm who ran the tournament.
