The challenge that the Ladies faced last Sunday was the hardest that they are most likely going to face this season.

Playing in the Papa John's Women's Junior Cup meant the women have faced teams from the NC2 League (league above ) such as Aylesford, our rivals, who came with a strong team and attitude.

From the whistle, the ladies knew they were in for a challenge but they were not going to back down.

Aysleford dominated the possession of the ball for the majority of the first half, which meant that their defence was constantly being tested. The defensive line held strong which made Aysleford really fight for their tries.

At halftime, despite the pressure, we regrouped with renewed energy and a positive mindset, eager to showcase our offensive skills.

While several good moves made in the oppo's half, they didn't quite manage to break through the oppo's defense, and the match ended 0-44.

The ladies have learnt loads from the game and will continue to grow, as there were so many positives to take away.

To have faced a previous NC1 team with ex Harlequins players, the coaches couldn't be happier.
